Stunning Appearance
Replicates natural stone, brick, slate and cobbles in dozens of patterns. Most visitors can't tell the difference from the real thing.
Imprinted concrete — also called stamped concrete or pattern concrete — gives you the look of natural stone, brick or slate at a fraction of the maintenance. We've been installing it across Warrington and Cheshire for over 25 years.
Imprinted concrete is a decorative driveway surface where freshly poured, coloured concrete is stamped with patterned mats before it sets — creating the look of natural stone, brick, slate or cobbles in a single continuous surface with no weeds, no joints to weaken, and no blocks to sink.
When properly laid and sealed, it gives you all the visual character of traditional paving with none of the maintenance headaches. It's been one of the most popular driveway choices across the North West for twenty years, and the material and technique have only got better.
At Premier Driveways we pour concrete of the correct grade for driveway loads, stamp it with quality pattern mats, apply colour-hardener and release agents in line with manufacturer specification, then finish with a UV-stable sealer. Nothing we can't explain on a site visit.
Compared to block paving, tarmac or gravel, imprinted concrete wins on durability, appearance and long-term cost. Here's why most of our customers end up asking for it by name.

25-30 year lifespan typical. The concrete base is a single structural slab — there are no joints to fail or blocks to sink.
A seal every 3-5 years, occasional rinse, no weeding. Easier to look after than block paving or gravel by a long way.
From traditional York stone to contemporary slate. Designed to suit any property style and age.
No joints for weeds to grow through, no gaps for moss. Less time on your knees with a jet-wash or weedkiller.
Cheaper than equivalent-look natural stone, porcelain or high-end block paving. Typically pays for itself on resale.
Our imprinted concrete patterns fall into six families. See the full range on our Patterns & Colours page, or ask us for samples to take home.

Every job follows the same six-step process. Skipping stages is where most failed driveways come from — so we don't.

Driveway-grade concrete reinforced with steel mesh or fibres, power-floated smooth ready for the colour hardener.
Colour hardener applied, release agent dusted on, pattern mats stamped into the surface before it sets. One-chance-only work.
After curing, surface is washed, acid-etched if needed, and sealed with UV-stable sealant. Drive on it 24 hours later.
Professionally installed imprinted concrete typically lasts 25-30 years with proper maintenance. Resealing every 3-5 years keeps it looking fresh and protects against UV and water damage.
When properly sealed with an anti-slip additive in the final sealer, imprinted concrete offers good traction even when wet. The textured pattern surface also naturally improves grip over smooth surfaces.
Yes — small cracks can be repaired and the surface can be re-sealed or even re-coloured as part of ongoing maintenance. For larger areas, full resurfacing is possible without re-pouring.
Costs vary significantly by size, pattern complexity, colour choice and site conditions (drainage, excavation depth, access). We provide free no-obligation site visits and fixed-price written quotes so you know exactly what you're paying before any work starts.
A typical residential driveway takes 5-10 working days from first excavation to sealed finish, weather dependent. We'll give you a specific timeline with your quote.
Usually not for a permeable or re-directed-drainage driveway under 5m². For larger driveways you may need to ensure compliance with SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) regulations — we handle that as part of the design.
Foot traffic is fine after 24 hours. We recommend waiting 5-7 days before driving a car on it, and 2-3 weeks before any heavy loads (builders' merchant deliveries, skip lorries, etc.).
Based in Warrington, we cover Cheshire, Merseyside, and parts of Greater Manchester and Lancashire. If you're within an hour, we'll come and quote.
